Crime Analyst Retiring After 26 Years of Service

Tomorrow (7/15) marks the end of one chapter and the beginning of a new one for our Crime Analyst Trina Cook. Trina is retiring after 26 years of outstanding service and dedication to the Tukwila community.

Throughout her career with us, Trina made a lasting impact through her leadership, professionalism, and commitment to excellence.  The City of Tukwila administration, the Police Department administration, officers, detectives and non-commissioned staff have relied heavily on Trina’s expertise to produce complex statistical analyses that supported decision-making, operations, and strategic planning. She also led the implementation of the department’s Records Management System (Spillman) from 2014-2016, helped improve community access to ballot drop boxes, and received numerous recognitions, including Employee of the Quarter, Teamwork in Action, and the Big Idea Award.

Trina is also one of Washington’s first Certified Law Enforcement Analysts and received the International Association of Crime Analysts President’s Award. As a founding member of NW Regional Crime Analyst (NORCAN), she helped advance the crime analysis profession across the Pacific Northwest. She has also served on the Peer Support Team and continues to promote employee wellness through the Wellness Committee.
