Interim Chief Lund Receives Distinguished Service Medal
This week, Interim Chief Eric Lund received the Distinguished Service Medal from Tukwila Mayor Thomas McLeod for his 30-years of service to the Tukwila community.
After graduating from Central Washington University in 1995, Interim Chief Lund returned to his hometown of Tukwila to begin his law enforcement career in 1996. Over the course of his career, he has held a wide range of assignments, including patrol officer, narcotics detective, field training officer, and Emergency Vehicle Operator Course (EVOC) instructor and has served as a Sergeant (2009), Commander (2017), Deputy Chief (2021) and now Interim Chief of Police (2026).
