Armed Vehicle Prowlers Prowl Numerous Cars
Night shift stayed busy last night with an armed vehicle prowler and a DUI collision.
Armed Vehicle Prowl
Yesterday, officers responded to numerous vehicle prowling reports along Southcenter Pkwy. The suspects were reported to be two juveniles or young adult males wearing ski masks associated with a white Jeep Cherokee. Officer Bartlett managed to locate the vehicle and the suspects in the parking lot in the 17900 blk Southcenter Pkwy. One of the suspects was actively prowling a nearby car and was armed with a handgun. Upon spotting Officer Barlett, he immediately got back into the Jeep and fled onto I-5 before officers could get into position to pursue it. Officers located several additional victim vehicles nearby that had been prowled.
DUI Collision
Officers were dispatched to the report of a single-vehicle collision in the vicinity of Tukwila International Blvd and E Marginal Way S. Responding officers were informed by a witness that the driver of the vehicle had walked away from the scene following the collision. Officers located the driver several blocks away who was positively identified by the witness. The suspect was transported to the Tukwila Justice Center for processing for DUI by Officer Anderson. The driver recorded a .176 BAC
