🚨 Officers Deter Shooting and Recover Stolen Firearm🚨

On April 11^th, officers working an assignment in the 13000 blk Interurban Ave S noticed a crowd starting to grow and observed several known gang members enter the establishment shortly thereafter. Due to the size of the crowd, previous recent incidents of violence at the location and overhearing a discussion about a shooting that was about to go down, numerous additional officers immediately responded to the location and made a strong presence to deter any potential violence.

With the presence of additional officers, the crowd began to slowly disburse and leave as it was apparent that whatever was about to happen was no longer going to happen. Shortly thereafter, officers located a stolen firearm that he been discarded by one of the involved parties in the parking lot. It was taken into evidence for processing.
