Hit & Run Leaves One Dead – Suspect In Custody

Just after 11PM last night (3/26) officers responded to the report of a vehicle vs pedestrian collision in the 14100 blk Tukwila International Blvd. Responding officers located the pedestrian deceased at the scene. The suspect was reported to have fled the scene in his vehicle following the collision.

Due to the collision being a fatality, the Tukwila PD Traffic Unit detectives responded to the scene to handle the investigation. Based on the initial investigation, the suspect vehicle was identified by detectives via FLOCK Automated License Plate Readers (ALPR). Officers were able to locate the suspect vehicle and the suspect shortly thereafter at which point the suspect was taken into custody.

The investigation is ongoing at this time and any additional updates will be made when we are able to do so.
