Homicide Update

🚨USPS Homicide Update🚨

Following the initial investigation in yesterday’s homicide at the USPS distribution center, officers and detectives quickly identified the suspect involved in the case.

The suspect was located in a vehicle yesterday evening in the South Park area of Seattle by detectives and SWAT team members. As officers and detectives moved into to detain the suspect, the suspect sustained a life-threatening, self-inflicted gunshot wound. The suspect was rushed to the hospital in critical condition where he later succumbed to his injury and was pronounced deceased.

Both the suspect and victim have been identified as USPS employees that knew each other prior to the shooting. The shooting is believed to be an isolated incident between the suspect and victim.
