Patrol Car Rammed, Officer Injured After Suspect Flees
This evening, an officer located an occupied stolen vehicle in the Southcenter district. The officer attempted to stop the vehicle at which time the suspect rammed the patrol car with the stolen vehicle then fled. A brief pursuit ensued but was terminated when the suspect began driving the wrong way on the freeway.
The officer involved was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries and the patrol vehicle sustained extensive damage.
