Yesterday (10/26), officers responded to the 3400 blk S 144th St after receiving a report of a commercial burglary that had occurred at approximately 6AM. The suspects fled the scene in a vehicle with a safe taken from the business. The thieves had apparently failed to read our recent post about the thefts of safes in the city and our eagerness to identify the suspects, recover the stolen property and book the suspects into jail.
Tukwila officers and detectives were able to track the thieves to a residence in Kent. A search warrant was written, and Valley SWAT responded to assist due the criminal history of the known suspects which involve firearms.
Officers made entry into the home and recovered a significant amount of stolen property including high-powered rifles and various other firearms. No suspects were located inside the residence.
As we’ve previously stated, do not come into our community with the intent of committing the latest crimes du jour i.e. carjackings, ramming cars into businesses to burglarize them or any other crimes for that matter. This is not a department, community or city that will tolerate it and we will use all our available resources to apprehend those choosing to commit crimes in our community.
