Welcome Officer Demetris Anderson

Welcome to the Tukwila PD family Officer Demetris Anderson. Officer Anderson completed the Washington State Basic Academy yesterday with our command staff and fellow officers in attendance to cheer him on. The academy was a culmination of several months of pre-academy training with our training unit followed by the 720 hour basic academy.

Officer Anderson is a U.S. Army veteran and joined us right after finishing his service obligations at JBLM. He will be hitting the streets of Tukwila shortly with his veteran Field Training Officer (FTO) for 12-weeks of intensive on the job training and evaluation prior to being deployed in a one-officer car to start handling calls on his own.

We still have the Fab Four in the academy, two experienced officers starting with us in November along with three more entry-level officers.
