Stolen uHaul Filled with Summer Camp Gear Recovered by Officers

This morning (7/27), officers responded to reports of a stolen uHaul that was spotted in the vicinity of 144th and Tukwila International Blvd. Responding officers located the vehicle parked at a business with the adult male suspect still inside. The suspect attempted to walk away from the vehicle but was detained without incident.

Upon searching the vehicle, officers located a large amount of soccer equipment and soccer camp banners. The uHaul and soccer equipment had been reported stolen from a hotel on West Valley Hwy yesterday morning (7/26). The soccer gear was needed for a youth soccer camp at Starfire Sports. Fortunately, all the gear was still present except for approximately 16 blue popup canopies that were missing.

The suspect had multiple warrants and was booked into jail. All of the soccer equipment was returned to the soccer camp instructors just in time for the remainder of camp today and tomorrow.
