Juvenile Shot Following Altercation

UPDATE 6/19 – The victim, a 17-year-old male has passed away as a result of the injuries

At around 4:30PM (6/18), a juvenile male was shot at a bus stop near the corner of 42nd Ave S and S 144th St. The victim was transported to the hospital in critical condition.

Based on the initial investigation, an altercation ensued between the victim and another individual at which time the victim was shot by the suspect. This is not believed to be a random incident.

Major Crimes Unit (MCU) detectives are investigating the shooting.
