Volunteers Needed for Graffiti Removal This Sunday 6/4

Meet at Tukwila Justice Center Lot (North side of 150th)

This is last minute but any help would be greatly appreciated! We are looking for volunteers to assist with painting over graffiti, doing some general weeding/curbside beautification and some general cleanup at the sites of some recent graffiti.

Over the past several nights, someone(s) took it upon themselves to redecorate fences, poles and utility boxes with graffiti. This is YOUR community not theirs. Quick removal of graffiti, keeping sidewalks, lawns and properties clean and well maintained is a major deterrent for crime and sends a strong message.

If you have any graffiti on your property or have seen any in the city over the past week, please leave the location of it below in the comments or send us a private message with the location. We are making a list to map out a route. We will have written waivers for property owners.

Supplies are very limited at the moment but we’ve partnered with our friends at Lowe’s Home Improvement for future supplies. If you have any painting supplies, outdoor paint, gardening supplies or trash bags, please bring those as they will be needed and much appreciated.

If there’s enough of a turnout, we will have a BBQ and get together afterwards at Foster Park.

-Weed whackers, loppers, pruners etc. ✂️
