At around 3:39PM (5/15), officers were dispatched a threats with a weapon call in the 16200 blk West Valley Hwy.
Arriving officers located witnesses who stated that they had observed two males get into a verbal dispute with each other. At one point during the dispute, both parties produced firearms and began shooting at each other before fleeing in separate vehicles.
Officers found evidence of the shooting at the scene but did not locate any victims or signs that anyone had been stuck by gunfire.
Just before 10:30PM (5/15), a 9-1-1 caller reported that there was a male on the ground in the 3600 blk Southcenter Blvd that appeared to have been shot.
Arriving officers located the victim who was transported to the hospital with potential life-threatening injuries.
The incident was reportedly related to a group of people that were hanging out in the area. The witnesses were uncooperative when questioned about the incident.
