Suspect Arrested After Brandishing Firearm
On November 8th, officers responded to the Southcenter District after receiving a report of a verbal dispute that had escalated when one of the involved brandished a firearm. The suspect, a 33-year-old male from Renton was reportedly harassing a woman and her child when the victim stepped in and verbally confronted the suspect.
Officers established probable cause to arrest the suspect and located him in a business nearby. He was taken into custody without incident and a firearm was recovered from his person. Record checks revealed that the suspect was the subject of several domestic violence protection orders and as a result was prohibited from possessing a firearm.
The suspect was booked into King County Jail for Unlawful Possession of a Firearm 1st Degree.
