Suspect in Stolen Car Apprehended Following Foot Pursuit

July 21 at around 1PM, a Community Police Team (CPT) detective proactively patrolling the area of Andover Park W located a vehicle that had been stolen a day prior in Tukwila. It was occupied by a 42-year-old male from Bremerton with a suspended license who had somehow found his way to Tukwila and was now sitting in a stolen car.

Once the suspect noticed that the detective had spotted him, he chose to partake in some felony cardio and fled on foot. Unbeknownst to the suspect, numerous members of the Tukwila PD Track Team were in the area including the Deputy Chief, the Patrol Commander, a Traffic Sergeant, two Traffic Unit officers, more CPT detectives, a Major Crimes Unit (MCU) detective and other patrol officers. Well over 100+ years of combined experience and poor timing all around for the suspect.

The suspect was able to duck and weave for a little bit before being taken into custody in the 200 blk Andover Park E.

The suspect was a collector of warrants from multiple jurisdictions including felony warrants for Possession of a Stolen Vehicle and Identity Theft as well as a misdemeanor warrant for Possession of Stolen Property.
