Community Resource Center (CRC) Reopens Following Renovation

Thank you to those who stopped by for the Community Resource Center (CRC) substation ribbon cutting and our Coffee With a Cop. There were a lot of great questions asked, good conversations had, much coffee poured from our Starbucks in the mall, connect-four games played and so much more. Apollo had a blast as always and made quite a few new friends.

You will see our officers working out of the CRC and coming and going frequently as we partner with the Westfield Southcenter Mall to further our combined public safety goals for the entire Southcenter business district.

On occasion, you may see police cars parked in front of a business, a park or other area and assume that something bad has happened or is about to happen. Oftentimes, it is just officers doing proactive patrols to act as a deterrent, grab lunch, take a quick coffee break or meet with members of the community. Feel free to stop and say hi, ask a question(s) or just get to know us. Public safety and reducing crime is truly a community effort based on partnerships between the law enforcement and the community.

A special thank you to our elected officials that joined us, Mayor Allan Ekberg, Council President Thomas McLeod and Council Member Kate Kruller.
