Commander Delic Sworn In at Council Meeting

Congratulations to Commander Andi Delic who was officially sworn in as Commander by Mayor Ekberg.

Commander Delic immigrated to the U.S. in the early 90s with his family with just three suitcases, very little money and no idea what to expect in what was to become their new homeland. They established their home here in Tukwila and were welcomed with open arms by the Tukwila community.

Commander Delic joined the Tukwila PD Explorer Program while attending Foster High School. Directly out of high school, he became a police officer in Eastern Montana at the age of 18. He transferred to Tukwila PD in 2012.

In 2012, Commander Delic was selected as a member of Valley SWAT and remained in that position until 2022. While a patrol officer, Commander Delic served as a Field Training Officer.

In 2019, Commander Delic was promoted to Sergeant, supervised several patrol crews, and oversaw the Field Training Officer Program. In July of 2021, Commander Delic was selected to be the Acting Commander of patrol, and in February of 2022, he was promoted to Commander.

Commander Delilc holds an AA degree from Highline Community College and is an upcoming graduate from Central Washington University with an Information Technology Administrative Management degree.

Commander Delic still spends a lot of his free time in Tukwila as he has friends and family that reside within the city. His connection to Tukwila has allowed him to build many lasting relationships throughout his career here, and often those that have issues arise reach out to him directly.

Commander Delic currently oversees SWAT and the Patrol Division.
