Last week, Officer Hunter received a Life Saving Award from the King County CPR/PAD Program Manager for his efforts in saving the life of a woman who had been found unconscious and not breathing in her residence.
Officer Hunter arrived within two minutes of being dispatched and provided two rounds of CPR then attached an AED that was evaluating the patient as the Tukwila FD arrived. Tukwila FD took over life saving efforts and the woman was eventually transported to the hospital where she made a full recovery.
We are thankful for Officer Hunter’s quick response in a situation where seconds can mean the difference between life and death.
Officer Hunter will also be receiving the Life Saving Medal from the department at an awards ceremony later this year.
