Tukwila Justice Center Targeted in Drive-By BB Gun Shooting
Just before 7PM on Saturday, September 18th, the Tukwila Justice Center was targeted in a drive-by shooting with a BB gun fired from the pictured vehicle.
As the vehicle was traveling past the Tukwila Justice Center on Tukwila International Blvd, a suspect in the vehicle displayed a firearm and fired several rounds at the building. The rounds struck the front windows of the police lobby causing damage to the windows. The suspects immediately fled following the incident and were not located. No officers or staff members were injured. Officers determined that the firearm used was an Airsoft/BB type of firearm based on the evidence collected at the scene.
The Tukwila Major Crimes Unit (MCU) is investigating the incident. The suspect vehicle is a red/maroon Dodge Neon sedan. This incident is one of multiple targeted attacks on law enforcement in South King County this month including the ambush shootings of Federal Way PD and Renton PD officers earlier this month.
