Officers recover stolen vehicle, firearms and explosive device

This morning at approximately 4:30AM, officers responded to a report of a vehicle prowl in-progress in the 15900 blk West Valley Hwy. Officers located and contacted several suspects in a vehicle but did not have probable cause for an arrest at the time.

While investigating the incident, officers located another vehicle associated with the suspects nearby that was determined to be a stolen vehicle.

While searching the stolen vehicle, multiple firearms were recovered. During the search, an officer located what appeared to be an improvised explosive device (IED) inside of the vehicle. The Port of Seattle Bomb Squad responded to the scene and safely took custody of the device. The vehicle was impounded.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
