Detectives investigating shooting
At approximately 2:18PM, Tukwila officers responded to the vicinity of the 15200 blk Tukwila International Blvd for the report of a shooting.
Officers who were nearby at the time of the incident observed a juvenile male fleeing the scene on foot. The suspect refused to stop, and a brief foot pursuit ensued. Officers were able to take him into custody without incident. A firearm was recovered and the suspect was taken into custody.
Officers located a juvenile male at the scene of the shooting that had been struck by gunfire. He was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The incident is not believed to be random. The Major Crimes Unit (MCU) is investigating the incident. Detectives and officers will be on scene for the next several hours processing the scene.
I was at the McDonald’s next door and just shortly after the gunfire I saw a black male wearing black pants, black shirt, maybe a mask with something red on and approximately 5’8 -5’10 at around 150 lbs – 175 lbs running away from the scene like a giselle. He ran towards the chiropractic office and immediately turned right and ran by the bushes and then turned left.
