Fentanyl and realistic looking BB guns recovered during auto theft investigation
This morning at around 9AM, officers responded to the report of an auto theft in-progress in the 13900 blk Tukwila International Blvd. Arriving officers located the vehicle with damage to it consistent with an attempted theft. The would be car thief fled on foot as officers were arriving and was not located.
Near the scene, officers located a 37-year-old male associate of the suspect with narcotics and narcotic paraphernalia around him in a vehicle. The other occupant of the vehicle is a 15-year-old who had consumed fentanyl. Medics were called to evaluate the involved parties due to their ingestion of narcotics.
Officers recovered a scale, 47 fentanyl pills, crystal meth and heroin as well as two airsoft BB guns with no markings or clear indicators that they were not real firearms. This is the third incident in several weeks in which realistic looking airsoft BB guns were recovered during investigations.
