Command Staff Promotions
Congratulations to Deputy Chief Lund and Commander Rock who were sworn-in during a promotional ceremony last night.
Deputy Chief Lund grew up in Tukwila, attended Foster High School and joined Tukwila PD in 1996 where has held multiple roles including patrol officer, Narcotics Detective, Field Training Officer (FTO), as well as being an Emergency Vehicle Operator Course (EVOC) instructor. Deputy Chief Lund promoted to Sergeant in 2009, Commander in 2017 and has served as the Interim Deputy Chief since October of 2020.
Commander Rock joined Tukwila PD in 2003 after having worked for the Yakima Police Department. During his career he has served as a patrol officer, a Major Crimes Detective, a member of the Valley Independent Investigations Team (VIIT), a member of the Civil Disturbance Unit (CDU), a Field Training Officer (FTO) and a police boat captain. Commander Rock was promoted to sergeant in 2017 and has served as an Interim Commander since 2020.
