Officers recover stolen vehicle and stolen credit cards
A short-lived crime spree that began yesterday morning just after 7AM in Federal Way was brought to an end without incident by Tukwila officers just after noon.
Just after 7AM, on February 10th, a vehicle that had been left running was reported stolen in Federal Way. A credit card belonging to the owner that was left inside of the vehicle was used shortly thereafter in Kent. The suspect again attempted to use the stolen credit card at a business in Tukwila in the 17400 blk Southcenter Pkwy just after 12PM. Officers who were in the area located the stolen vehicle as the suspects were leaving and were able to stop it in a parking lot nearby.
Two adult male suspects from Federal Way and Burien were detained without incident after being removed from the stolen vehicle. Both suspects are convicted felons with lengthy histories involving assault, possession stolen property, theft, forgery etc.
The stolen vehicle was returned to the owner.
