Suspect Arrested For Bomb Threat

At approximately 6:15PM officers responded the report of a bomb threat in the 300 blk Strander Blvd.

Employees of a business called 911 to report that a female had entered the store and claimed that she had a bomb in a bag that she was carrying. Employees and customers were quickly evacuated from the store.

Officers attempted to use the PA to have the suspect step out of the business. She refused verbal commands to exit the business. Officers were able to detain her without incident once she stepped away from the bag.

The bag in question was determined not to have any explosives in it. The 37-year-old female suspect from Tacoma was booked into King County Jail for making a bomb threat.
