Felony Harassment DV Arrest

On December 10th at approximately 10:38PM, officers responded to a residence after a 911 call reporting an adult male that was threatening family members at the residence with a knife. Two adults fearing for their lives had barricaded themselves in a bedroom and called 911.

Arriving officers were able to locate the window of the bedroom where the adults were located and safely extricated both of them from the residence just moments before the suspect managed to gain access to the room. Officers discovered that there were children were hiding in another room on the other side of the residence.

As officers were moving into place to extricate the children via the bedroom window, the suspect emerged from the house. Officers gave loud verbal commands to the suspect which he ignored. He instead turned and attempted to re-enter the house. Fearing that the suspect would re-enter the residence and potentially harm the children still inside, a sergeant successfully deployed a taser and the suspect was taken into custody without incident.

The suspect was booked into King County Jail on a charge of Felony Harassment DV.
