Officers Drop Off Gift Cards

This time of year, we usually wake up early on a Saturday morning and head to Target to do our annual Shop With a Cop. Unfortunately, due to COVID-19 we were unable to do so this year. That didn’t stop several officers, local businesses and the Tukwila Children’s Foundation from donating money to give approximately 40 Tukwila families gift cards to make their holidays special.Tukwila officers dropped off gift cards to families at Cascade View Elementary today.

Big shout out to the Tukwila School District teachers at Cascade View Elementary for organizing and making this happen. We truly appreciate them and everything they have done for Tukwila youth. This has been an extremely challenging year for teachers having had to adapt to virtual teaching, creating lesson plans, quizzes, tests, homework assignments etc. all while presenting it in a virtual format for the first time.

Special thank you to Acura, Costco, Target, Westfield Mall and the Tukwila Children’s Foundation for their generous donations that helped put these funds directly in the hands of Tukwila families.
