Theft Suspect Booked After Throwing Rock Through Window, Striking Employee

Overnight, officers responded to a business in the 15200 blk Tukwila International Blvd for what was initially reported as an armed robbery with the victim bleeding from the head.

Arriving officers were informed that the suspect had fled towards the LIght Rail Station following the incident. Officers located the suspect nearby and took him into custody. It was determined that the suspect had attempted to steal beer but was confronted and stopped by employees. The suspect left but returned shortly thereafter and threw a large rock through the window of the business. The rock ultimately went through the glass and struck an employee in the head causing a laceration.

The suspect was booked into jail for Assault, Malicious Mischief and narcotic related offenses
