Overnight Fatal Collision Following Medical Emergency

Overnight, officers responded to a report of a single vehicle collision in the 17100 blk Southcenter Pkwy. Upon arrival, officers located the vehicle on the sidewalk where it had come to a stop after crashing into a cement planter. The driver was unresponsive inside the vehicle and had a significant leg injury to the extent that officers applied a tourniquet to stop the bleeding.

Medics transported the driver to the hospital where he unfortunately succumbed to his injuries. It was determined that the driver had significant medical emergency while driving which led to the collision.
