Suspect Booked After Struggle With Officers

Just after 9AM (4/23), officers spotted a suspicious vehicle across from the Tukwila Justice Center with occupants that appeared to be in the midst of a narcotics transaction. As officers were approaching the vehicle, they discovered that the vehicle was a reported stolen vehicle.

While attempting to detain a male suspect, he attempted to flee then began fighting with officers. The suspect and multiple officers received minor injuries during the altercation and were treated at the scene by Puget Sound Fire fire fighters.

The suspect has a lengthy criminal history and had an active felony Escape warrant from the Department of Corrections (DOC). A bag with a substance consistent with meth was recovered at the scene. In plain sight in the vehicle, narcotic paraphernalia and a machete were located.

The suspect was booked into SCORE Jail and the vehicle was recovered.
