Officers Interrupt Attempted Auto Theft

Yesterday afternoon, officers were alerted to a suspect who had broken in to KIA and had then broken into a nearby Hyundai in the Southcenter District. The suspect was attempting to steal the Hyundai when he was contacted by officers.

The suspect immediately fled on foot. After running back and forth and in a few circles, he was taken into custody by officers. The suspect was identified as a 15-year-old male.
