Just before 4am, officers responded to the report of an injury accident involving a vehicle that had gone off the roadway in the 14900 blk Interurban Ave S.
Arriving officers located the vehicle with a male pinned underneath of it. Officers were able to lift the vehicle and extract the male from beneath it and pull him to safety. Puget Sound Fire arrived and began rendering aid until an ambulance arrived and transported the victim to the hospital.
In interviewing another involved party, it was determined that the vehicle had broken down and the pair were attempting to push it up the hill of an apartment complex. Gravity began doing its thing and the victim was unable to get clear in time before the vehicle ultimately knocked him down and trapped him beneath of it in the bushes.
