Welcome back to school! The Tukwila School District 2026/2027 school year kicked off this morning. We had our School Resource Officers (SRO), Traffic Officers and others at all of the schools to welcome the kids back, monitor traffic and ensure everyone’s safety.
Last Friday, we hosted our first Badges & Backpacks school supply giveaway at the Tukwila Justice Center. Thanks to donations from the Rotary Club of SeaTac-Tukwila, Westfield Southcenter, JCPenney and Singh Construction LLC, many Tukwila students were able to get free school supplies and backpacks to start the school year off with the supplies they needed. Thank you to all of the sponsors and those that worked to make this event possible.
