On 1/30/2026 at approximately 3:20AM, Tukwila officers contacted an adult male in an unlicensed vehicle in the 4200 block S 146th St. The suspect ignored officers’ commands and fled in the vehicle which was later determined to be a stolen vehicle. A pursuit was authorized and officers initiated a pursuit of the suspect vehicle.
During the pursuit, an officer utilized a PIT maneuver to ultimately stop the fleeing suspect vehicle in the 14200 blk Tukwila International Blvd. At the conclusion of the pursuit, an officer discharged their firearm. There were no injuries reported as a result of the PIT maneuver or the discharge of the firearm. The suspect is being booked into jail on charges of Eluding, Possession of a Stolen Vehicle, Driving While License Suspended (DWLS) 1st Degree and DUI.
Tukwila International Blvd is temporarily closed in the 14200 block for the incident investigation. A Washington State Patrol (WSP) evidence team is responding to location to process the scene.
The involved officer has been placed on administrative leave which is standard procedure anytime a firearm is discharged by an officer.
