Driver Booked For DUI Following Head-On Collision
Last night, a vehicle traveling in the 14400 blk Interurban Ave S crossed over the center line and struck another vehicle head-on. The driver of that vehicle who is an elderly female had several non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to the hospital.
The driver of the vehicle that crossed over the center line exhibited signs of impairment. Officer Mosley transported the suspect to the station and wrote a blood draw warrant. A certified phlebotomist from a partner law enforcement agency responded to the station and performed the blood draw once the warrant was approved.
The suspect was booked into jail for DUI.
Grateful no one was killed. Prayers for the victim recovering/healing from this unnecessary collision. Also prayer that this causes the suspect to make life changing choices in a new direction.
