Officers and Valley SWAT Rescue Child, Take DV Suspect Into Custody
At around 3:30AM, officers were dispatched to a domestic violence call in the 4200 blk Southcenter Blvd. Arriving officers located the female victim outside of the residence with injuries from the assault. The fire department responded to treat the injured female who was then transported to the hospital. The male half of the incident was reported to be armed with a firearm and had barricaded himself inside of the residence along with an 8-year-old child who had been unable to escape.
A perimeter was setup for containment, and Valley SWAT and Hostage Negotiators responded to assist with safely extricating the child and taking the suspect into custody. Shortly after 7AM, the suspect exited the residence and was taken into custody without incident. The child was found hiding safe inside of the residence and was turned over to family members. The suspect is now facing felony charge of Assault 2nd Degree DV
