Just before 4PM, officers responded to the report of a shooting in the 10700 blk 27th Ave S. Responding officers located an adult male victim at the scene with a gunshot wound and immediately began rendering aid until fire and medic personnel arrived and took over life saving efforts. Unfortunately, the victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Based on the initial investigation, it is believed that the victim and suspect were known to each other in some way. Officers and detectives are still investigating what led up to the shooting. The suspect is believed to have fled the area immediately following the shooting and has not been located.
