Gun Lockbox Giveaway a Success

We wrapped up our first gun lockbox giveaway last Friday at the Tukwila Community Center. They went quick thanks to the large number of responsible gun owners who came out to the event to pick up a lockbox. Firearms that are not secured can end up being stolen during burglaries, vehicle prowl’s etc. The vast majority of suspects that we encounter committing crimes involving a firearm are committing those crimes with stolen firearms and oftentimes, by those not legally allowed to purchase or possess a firearm. Properly securing a firearm also keeps it out of the hands of children. Not doing so can have tragic consequences.
