At around 4AM (5/31), officers responded to the vicinity of the 3600 blk S 152nd Blk after receiving a report of an adult male that had been located with a gunshot wound by a security officer.

Arriving officers located a 42-year-old male from Tukwila with a gunshot wound to the thigh. Officers immediately applied a tourniquet to the wound and began rendering aid until medics arrived and transported the victim to the hospital.

During the initial investigation, the victim told officers that he was there to buy a firearm. At some point during the transaction, the victim stated that he accidentally shot himself in the thigh. The victim has numerous felony convictions including Unlawful Possession of a Firearm and therefore is not legally allowed to possess a firearm.
