Honoring the Past

Exactly 40 years ago today, the family of Tukwila PD Patrolman Joe Barrett #16 (1973 – 1982) was presented with this plaque by the Tukwila Police Officer’s Guild (TPOG) in honor of his service to the community and his fellow officers. Barrett sadly passed away shortly after leaving the department due to health complications.

No matter how much time has passed, our former officers who honorably served the Tukwila community and stood by their fellow officers from call to call will always be a part of our family and part of the Tukwila community. We are thankful for their sacrifices, service and dedication to the Tukwila community.
