On August 28th, our night shift patrol sergeant attempted to perform a traffic stop for a DUI investigation in the 13900 blk Tukwila International Blvd. The suspect driver instead fled in the vehicle and subsequently sideswiped a car then crashed his vehicle in the 3100 blk S 144th S where his vehicle ultimately ended up in the front yard of a residence.
The suspect immediately fled from his vehicle on foot. Officers established a perimeter in the area and a K9 from a neighboring agency responded to assist officers with tracking the suspect. The suspect was located in the backyard of a residence on Military Rd S where he was taken into custody. He was found to be in possession of a firearm at the time of his arrest.
The suspect was booked into King County Jail on charges of Eluding, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, DUI and Hit & Run.
