42nd Ave Bridge Partially Reopens

Southbound Lanes Reopen

The 42nd Ave S Bridge has been closed to traffic since December 15, 2021 when an over height truck struck a sway frame, inflicting critical damages on the bridge. Since the closure, steel strengthening repairs and a structural analysis were done to determine if further restrictions
were necessary for the bridge.

As of this morning, the southbound lanes are reopen to traffic. We have no further info at this time about the northbound lane reopening or plans for the bridge going forward.
