Election Day Information

We have heard from residents and business owners regarding concerns associated with tomorrow’s election and potential civil unrest. As of this writing, the Tukwila Police Department is not aware of any planned protests or credible threats to the Tukwila area. Everyone should take the normal safety precautions that we encourage on a daily basis, such as always securing your home or business, being aware of your surroundings when out in public and, of course, wearing a mask and social distancing. However, we have no reason to believe that any extraordinary measures should be taken at this time.

If the situation does change, the Tukwila Police Department will use its social media channels – specifically Facebook.com/TukwilaPD and Twitter.com/TukwilaPD – to update the community with as much real-time information as possible. As always, should you witness a crime or feel unsafe, we encourage you to call 911.
