Welcome Back Officer Daugherty

On September 3rd, we welcomed back a new-old officer. Officer Daugherty #259 became the first officer sworn in at the new Tukwila Justice Center by Mayor Allan Ekberg. Officer Daugherty had previously spent a decade as an officer with us serving the Tukwila community. He left in 2016 due to family reasons. Since his departure, he served with the Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office in Oregon as a Deputy.

Officer Daugherty brings with him extensive experience having served on the Valley SWAT team, Defensive Tactics Instructor, Taser Instruction, Honor Guard member and more. His outgoing personality has helped to de-escalate many tense situations in the past and his knowledge of Tukwila from his prior service with us make him a great asset to our team and the Tukwila community.
